Private and Semi-Private Instruction

The benefits of having a private or semi-private class are privacy, of course, and an individual class designed specifically for you and what it is that you are looking for in yoga. Also, you receive more attention within each pose to ensure it is done safely and properly. We are available upon request for private or semi-private instruction. Lessons can be done in home, office, or the Tsubo yoga studio.
 
Pilates: Classical Joseph Pilates 18 Step Mat Class
Developed by legendary physical trainer Joseph H. Pilates, the Pilates Method is an exercise system which focuses on increasing flexibility and strength to build more defined, longer, leaner muscles. Each exercise, performed with few repetitions, emphasizes precise movement, requiring proper control and form. Through the work, the abdomen, gluteals and lower back are supported and strengthened, enabling the body to move more efficiently and freely. The Pilates Method of Body Conditioning is the simultaneous integration of control, flexibility, strength, precision, breath, flow of movement and body awareness.

Personal training can help people achieve their goals. Whether you want to lose weight, build muscle, or reshape your body we can help. Private appointment times are scheduled at your convenience and at a location most accessible to you; at home, in Tsubo’s studio, or at your office.
Each program includes a detailed weekly plan teaching how to be successful on your own. This knowledge will give you the confidence to stay healthy for the rest of your life.

Trisha Kaufman is an ACE certified personal trainer and certified SPIN instructor. She has trained over 100 cylists for 50+ mile rides as well as women starting exercise for the first time in their lives. She has personal experience as a vetran member of USA Triathlon and an avid cross country skier.

Karen Faith Yoga

Karen Faith's yoga practice has unfolded over the last ten years alongside her passion for performance as a path to healing and wholeness. A classically trained violist, she left the orchestra in 2002 to pursue an expansive performance practice at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she enjoyed the mentorship of writer, teacher and yogi Lin Hixson. She received her certification training at Frog Lotus Yoga in North Adams, Massachusetts, while an artist in residence at the Contemporary Artists' Center from 2005 to 2006. She works to open individuals to their own source of healing - the spirit which is luminous, infinite and untouched by the world.

Class Description:

Karen's classes are multi-level yoga class which incorporate pranayama (yogic breathing) asana (yogic postures) and mindfulness practice to develop strength and flexibilty in the body while centering and calming the mind. Her style is customized to meet the needs and goals of individuals in the class, and works with various sources of theraputic yogic techniques, restorative practice, Buddhist meditation and creative healing.
